The Thames Valley Group of Advanced Motorists (group 2061) is one of more than two hundred local organisations which are Official Providers to the Institute of Advanced Motorists (now iAM RoadSmart). The Group covers Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell and surrounding area.

This is a group of car drivers who are dedicated to the advancement of Road Safety by improving the driving standards of ourselves and others to that required by iAM RoadSmart. Our objective is to improve the quality and quantity of better drivers on our overcrowded road system.

Its Observers are trained and examined to the standards set by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).
The Thames Valley group was formed in June 1978 and now has in excess of 300 members from all walks of life and ages ranging from 18 to 80. Meetings are held at 8pm on the fourth Thursday of the month except August and December at the Holyport War Memorial Hall, Moneyrow Green, Maidenhead SL6 2NQ which close to Junction 8 on the M4. Prospective members are very welcome (more details).
